Hello

After the (automatic) updates for windows XP on 12 october.2011,

the Tiiveni player stops working when choosing a channel and windows gives a error massage

Acces violation at adress xxxxxxxx. Read of adress xxxxxxxx  (changes)

I Hope there's a solution other than removing the updates

OK, thank you Duurt.

This is very strange. For me it is working as it should, I would guess that the problem may be with Windows Media Player, but I can't be sure.

If you could try this link (open INTERNET EXPLORER and paste this:"http://bbc.co.uk/radio/listen/live/r1.asx"). It should play BBC Radio 1. I am just wondering if it is the Windows Media Player Plugin for Internet Explorer that causes the crash.

Your guess was right. I forgot I had updated WMP to version 11 yesterday also.

After trying a few things I decided to remove WMP11 (again)

Now evrything is back to normal (it seems).

Only question now is: what is wrong with WMP11 (or my PC) ?

That was a real lucky guess Duurt.

Thank you very much for letting us know about this, I am sure that others will also have this problem too in the future.

I am using WMP11 with english XP PRO, latest windows/WMP11, updates yesterday caused no problems with  tiveni player  Tiiveni_TV_190111.exe for me. Maybe just a slight difference between versions of XP, I only use essential updates to minimise changes to windows.
